Fraternity House, Inc. is deeply committed to protecting the well-being of our Residents, Staff and the greater Fraternity House Family. In light of COVID-19, we have implemented a variety of measures to keep everyone healthy and safe. Despite some unwelcome adjustments, our Residents are adapting and doing well. Visitors to our care homes remain restricted and Residents only leave for medical appointments and select approved outings. Our essential Staff remains masked and we are taking extra precaution, including talking temperatures at shift changes. We have temporarily canceled our Fraternity Feast events, volunteer visits, and church dinners. While we truly miss our greater FHI family, we are meeting our mission, business as usual, with greater infection control, expanded indoor life skills activities, telehealth technology, and ongoing access to counseling services. FHI plans to rise up from this challenging time stronger! We are on schedule to open our fifth semi-independent living apartment in July, 2020.
To all our foundation funders, corporate donors, churches, families, and individual donors who have pledged support through this critical time, we are beyond grateful!
Volunteer
There is always a need for helping hands at Fraternity House, Inc. Opportunities include visiting with Residents; assisting with activities, outings, or medical appointments; preparing and sharing a meal; and helping with tasks around the houses. Especially helpful are volunteers with experience in the areas of law, medicine or mental health, IT, marketing and construction/skilled trades. We are also creative, so if you have a talent or passion you want to share, we can likely find a place for it!

Opportunities include creating, implementing and measuring programs; fitness, recovery and rehabilitation; public health; marketing, fundraising and development; and presenting to or teaching our Residents.

Collections and
Food Drives
Churches, service clubs, schools and scout troops can make a big difference by hosting a paper and dry goods drive. We are happy to provide flyers with our wish list. Items we need include: toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, hand soap, antibacterial hand gel, bleach, laundry detergent, all-purpose cleaner, etc. If you use it in your own home, there’s a good chance we need it too!
Drivers
Our Residents can always use help getting to appointments or running errands, or any number of things. And they always appreciate a friendly face to go with them. Volunteering to drive is a great way to get involved on your schedule, and with your availability.
